Plug ins

Post by Marpel »

I use the Focus Magic plug in on pretty well every image, as I don't use the sharpening in the raw editor I prefer (Nikon product).

Traditionally, I have had to edit in raw, then open Photoshop to use the plug in (not standalone) version to add some sharpening, then open PWP for further processing. A bit of a pain moving in and out of three programs.

I just read the PWP help info on plug ins and it appears only products which work as a standalone can be accessed through PWP. As the standalone version of Focus Magic is not as full as the actual plug in product, I find it useless in this capacity.

Any plans to allow non standalone plug ins to be used from PWP in the (near) future or is this too onerous? Or is there a suggested work around that one might suggest?

Sorry, no plans for Photoshop plug-in support.
