It would be useful to allow selecting panels for alignment and distribution:
- align panels left, right, center horizontally
- align panels top, bottom, center vertically
- distribute panels horizontally
- distribute panels vertically

Image compare : panning and zooming
In the image compare window, if image is zoomed and panned, further zooming appears to ignore the current panning position. By default, zooming should apply to the area being displayed (after panning).

The readout tool seems unavailable in the image compare transformation window. It would be useful to allow reading the values on the A and B images.

I see that two problems remain :
1. 50% of the area of periphereral pixels is hidden, and 75% of the area of corner pixels is hidden.
2. In an image having 8x8 pixels, an 8x8 grid should align perfectly with the pixel boundaries. The resulting grid is not 8x8, as selected, but 7x7.
