Digital Light & Color

I have found that (unlike versions 5 & 6) when using the brush tool in Mask mode, a single click of the mouse button or the tablet pen when either is stationary no longer activates the brush: one needs to move the mouse/pen to get the "paint on the page".

Am I missing something?
