Have experienced this with 5.0.1.3 on two different PCs (Win XP and Win 7): Open Browse, change to a couple of different folders, then when reading a folder for the first time, after one or two images I get a hard crash of PWP.

Deleted any PWBrowseinfo files, tried again but get same problem.

Had to delete folder in one instance, as Browse was open and PWP was caught in loop, crashing every time I re-opened.

Would love to know if anyone can confirm this behaviour.

Same here. When I direct the browser to an other folder PWP crashes.

windows 7, pentium IV 3ghz, geforce 6600

I can not reproduce it here, niether if there is a existing *.pwbrowe file or not.
System here is WinXP Sp3.

Browser works fine with folders just containing jpg or tiff.
Browser crashes with folders containing raw-files (tested with pef and dng).

Browsing RAW files could have something to do with it, as the folders I have trouble with have both JPG and NEF files, and it's on the second file that it crashes.

Winfried, you are right, when new reading RAW fiels it crashes, with a existing browseinfo file it works fine here.

If anyone can isolate an image which is causing the problem, please send the image to me.

My version of 5.0.1.3 on XP SP3 crashes on all files that were not opened before installing 5.0.1.3. If I open a folder that crashes 5.0.1.3 in 4. and then open it in 5. it does not crash. It seems that any file will crash 5.0.1.3 if it has not been opened first in 4.

I have downloaded this sample RAWs for the Nikon D700 on my disk and they reproduceable bring PWP 5.0.1.3. to crash when reading them for the browseinfo-file.
With the existing browseinfo-file it works fine.

I have traced the browse problem to the raw converter which is also used to extract thumbnails from raw images. I have temporarily reinstated 5.0.1.2 on the download page and will replace it with the new release as soon as the problem is fixed.
