Correcting portraits taken with too wide lenses

It's well known that using too wide lenses for portraits probably won't make you many friends. This example shows how this could be corrected in PWP post-processing. I used Displace transformation on the original, in circular mode, negative magnification and the face covered with diffused mask.

A discussion on how to change the centre of circular 'shrinking' by adding borders to the image, and then cropping it back again.
