I'm working on a way to save masks along with other transformation parameters when saving a settings file, with the ability to restore the mask when the settings file is reloaded, subject to some limitations. I'm now working my way through all the transformations that have masks to implement it. I should be ready to upload a new version tomorrow.
When saving transformation settings, the following are not saved:
1) auxiliary inputs, e.g. composite overlay image or filter image
2) masks that were initially created by selecting an image for the Amount menu.
3) masks that are applied to auxiliary inputs, e.g. composite overlay image masks or displace transformation offset masks
A warning is issued when you save settings in a file if any of the above conditions is present.
Naturally, depending on the way a mask is created, it may not make sense to apply it to a different image.
