How to make small percent adjustments?

Post by bbodine9 »

What combination of keys do you use to make small incremental adjustments on all the various sliders? For example when you try to balance the channel mixer numbers so they equal 100%.

Hold the shift key down and click to the right or left of the slider

Also, remember that the dialogs are often horizontally resizeable, so the adjustment scale can be enlarged.

That shift click left or right moves the silder 0.1%, exactly 1/1024.

Thanks for the answer on how to move the slider bit by bit.

Is there also a quick way to bring a slider back exactly to the zero position?

Temporary by Shift-clicking the square right of the slider (where you load a mask too).
I do not know a way to set it permanently to 0 (expect by resetting the whole Transformation by Shift-clicking when opening it, this sets all values to default, not just the slider).

For the Amount slider, Control-clicking on the square right of the slider will 'mirror' the slider(s) about the middle (50%) point,'permanently' (i.e. without having to depress the square with the mouse). This is new to PWP5 I believe, and especially useful for the switching black/white sliders when the mask is on.

For sliders other than the Amount, I'm not aware of a simple way of zeroing them (other than Shift-opening the transformation again as Dieter already mentioned).
