New Picture Window Pro Update Posted

Post by ksinkel »

Picture Window Pro 5.0.1.5 is now available for download.

PWP 5.0.1.5 updates the raw converter to support recently introduced cameras and also contains small enhancements and fixes reported problems. A few of the highlights are:

A Widget for the Color Remap transformation has been added.
The grayscale test wedge can now be opened directly from Image Stacker and Monitor Curves. There is now no need to find or download the file.
Unwanted mask images can be manually unlocked and closed.
16 x 9 HD television proportions have been added to Crop/Add Border.

For the complete list, please see http://www.dl-c.com/update50.html.

You can download the new version from http://dl-c.com/content/view/23/54/.

The 'Launch the Program' checkbox at the end of installation sequence doesn't seem to start PWP.

PWP5.0.1.5 crashes during loading .CR2 RAW files, at Converting to RGB step. Can this be reproduced?

Maciej,

I am not able to confirm a problem with cr2 files. Can you please send me the file you are having a problem with.

Thank you,

Thanks for the update Kiril. I'm happy to report that saving with 4:4:4 sub-sampling selected (with or without the comments) does indeed result in a JPEG with 4:4:4 sub-sampling, as reported by various EXIF viewers.

Kudos. Mark

I thought when this new site came into being that we were told thal all announcements of upgrades to PW would be on the "General Announcements" Forum because it had a feature where you could sign up to be notified of any future posts (which I did). The idea was to make it so that you did not have to check this forum erery day/week to see if there were any updates. What happened??

Kiril, the crash happened with any CR2 without sidecar. Since I didn't know what else to do to fix it, I've unistalled all prior PWP installations, rebooted the computer, and the problem went away...

Kiril,

There are just too many posts to this forum. You would be nottified of a post several times a day. Maybe you could put the announcement of a PW update in both forums.
