Soft proofing a full-screen image?

Post by mjdl »

I just created a custom profile for my printer and added it to the color management dialog. I am using the identical colors + BPC options on both proofing intents, but I really need to read the relevant help + other documents several more times to be sure this is the right choice.

I was surprised by one thing: a general recommendation I've read elsewhere is to look at the soft proofed image full-screen without any distracting UI elements that might interfere with visual adaptation to the proofed image. But the full-screen option "Display Full Screen" in the image context menu reverts the image to the non-soft-proofed original. Is this a limitation of the program itself, or of how MS Windows generates the full-screen graphics? Is there any way to make sure that the full-screen image goes through the same soft-proofing transformation as happens on the original image being edited?

(I am using the most recent distributed version of PWP8, 8.0.387.)

This was an unintentional omission. Fixed for next release.
