PWP 32 v607: PWP5 wfls and backward compatibility

Post by den »

Kiril... I apologize for leaving this so late but I was doing some last minute checks before the v607 expiration...

...a RGB BrightnessCurve widget created in PWP5 and used with PWP 32 v607 does not give a duplicate image version as would the same BrightnessCurve widget created in PWP6...

(1) a RGB BrightnessCurve [0,0], [10,20], [50,70], [100,100] was used to create a PWP5 and a PWP6 workflow widget.

(2) the following original image was then opened using the PWP5 or PWP6 wfl files [File Open: 'Apply selected workflow file']:
aIMG_0485_ori.jpg
aIMG_0485_ori.jpg (43.59 KiB) Viewed 11655 times
(3) the resulting image when opened with the PWP5 wfl using PWP6:
aIMG_0485_PWP6 usingPWP5wfl.jpg
aIMG_0485_PWP6 usingPWP5wfl.jpg (46.03 KiB) Viewed 11673 times
(4) the resulting image when opened with the PWP6 wfl using PWP6:
aIMG_0485_PWP6 usingPWP6wfl.jpg
aIMG_0485_PWP6 usingPWP6wfl.jpg (45.7 KiB) Viewed 11668 times
Note: using PWP5 with the PWP5 wfl creates an image with 0 'Absolute Difference' with the resulting (4) image...

Emailed back to you with more detail and attachments...

Please note that this is not related to the previously off Message Board report regarding the inter-dependence of the Browser and the "File Open--Workflow Options" dialog for PWP 32 v606c...

Thank you for your information. I was able to confirm and correct the problem.

The problem was that in converting the PWP5 brightness curve widget, the colorspace was always set to HSV regardless of its original setting. This is now corrected.
