Healing Brush

Post by bobsofpa »

Adobe just announced a new version of Elemnts that will have a "Healing Brush" similar to the "Smart Fill" in the full version of Photoshop. I have seen Smart Fill work and it is great. Now, with it in Elements, it is at a price I would pay to just get this one feature. My question is will we be seeing anything like this in the new version of PWP?

Hi,

I have Elements 7 and there is a healing brush in there. The speck removal tool in PWP does the same thing. I used it (PWP) extensively on a project last spring.

Cheers,

No, this is entirely different than the old Healing Brush. With "Content Aware" it is much more powerful and 10 times better. Go to the Adobe site for the full PS and watch their bit on content aware. It works the same in Elements 9 with the healing brush if you select the content aware option. I have been using PWP since Version 1.0 and am well aware of the Speck Removal Tool. Content Aware makes Speck Removal look likes a child's toy.
