Not seeing this here - does it matter what kind of mask you created? Does it happen all the time for you?

This occurs consistently for me with the following resulting script after OK-ing the multiple error dialogs:

This may have nothing to do with Masks-Mask 1 in Branch 2...

1) open an image (48-bit)
2) Add a splitter
3) Select Branch 2 - leave blank
4) Select Branch 1 and attempt to open Multi Color Balance

Note: Task Manager - End Process is required to close program. OK-ing the multiple error dialogs allows the Multi Color Balance transform to open with its default settings.

Not sure if 8, 16, 24 bit images are impacted.

Edit1: The posted script will run OK consistently if saved and re-loaded for me as well. The error occurs during the initial formation of the script workflow.

Also I noticed that the Preview would flash "Fit to size" for both Input and Output... ...then apparently both would zoom 1:1 with Output going blank and the series of error dialogs are generated.

Sorry, still nothing -- I tried a lot of variations also.

It is possible for bugs like this to exist, especially if they depend on the prior contents of memory.

Okay... apparently this was not too uncommon during alpha/beta versions with other transformations used in branches when forming a workflow... ...perhaps there is something from the past that will be of help:

Error was also reported for Color Balance: http://www.jonathansachs.me/phpbbBB3/v ... rnal+error

Error was also reported for Color Curves:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1709&hilit=internal+error

internal error on third side branch:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1640&p=7226&hilit= ... rror#p7226

Color balance, Remap, Posterize, and possibly some others generate Internal error: Zoom factor = 0 when used on a Side Branch:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1329&p=6474&hilit= ... rror#p6470

;-)

To be honest, I do not know how you manage to keep all this programing development evenhandedly in mind. Thank you for doing so and making your efforts available.

I do keep copies of all the sources for all the released versions, so I was able to see what change I made to fix the problem for Color Balance. I made a similar change to Multi Color Balance and it still works OK here. Whether it works there of not remains to be seen. Will upload a new version tomorrow AM.

Jonathan, try to do the following:
1. add spliter below the top level image
2. add Multicolor Balance to the main branch
3. add Multicolor Balance to the side branch -> you (or I) get the error message

One more observation:
After that you get the error message even when you add the Multicolor Balance to the main branch of another image.
Closing all images and start with empty workspace does not help. Ypu need to restart PWP.

David's recipe works (as in: to get an error) here.
