Update Available - Version 8.0.26

Post by jsachs »

An update is available to Version 8.0.26 (30-Dec-2019)

The changes (taken from the update log) are:

File Open: the current file in file list is now retained when dialog box is closed and then re-opened. Upon re-opening, the list is scrolled to guarantee the current file is visible.

Levels and Color: Reset Dynamic Range is now checked in the Settings menu when you select it. It gets unchecked if you modify the dynamic range in any way. When a new input image is presented to Levels and Color, if Reset Dynamic Range is in effect, no change is made to its dynamic range (its black and white points are recomputed and the black and white markers are aligned with the tic marks on the dynamic range slider). If Reset Dynamic Range is not in effect, the dynamic range of the input image is stretched from its current range to whatever range is specified by the dynamic range slider. This change should make Levels and Color more useful in scripts.

File Save: if the original file is missing and you ask to save metadata, you now get a warning and have the option to cancel or save without metadata.

Readout and Histogram Tools: settings are now retained between sessions.

Changing the display tool bar in transformations (input/output/side-by-side) now always updates the image browser thumbnail.

File Export: fixed some problems with the Resample checkbox not being grayed when it should have been.

Color Balance and Multi Color Balance: Added items to Settings menu to control auto-white (and auto-black for Multi) thresholds. For overexposed images, a higher threshold may work better overall, although it can result in tinting of clipped highlights or shadows.
