Recently an image I put onto a web site looked significantly different from the way it looked in PWP. After some web research I've found that while sRGB is the norm for web images, some web sites strip off the profiles, and some web browsers (as of summer 2016) correctly substitute for missing sRGB profiles and some do not. It seems to me that users wishing to critically examine images on web sites should become aware of how their browser handles images that do and do not contain profiles.
