Saved "*.bilateral sharpen" setting file with mask does not Load properly

Post by den »

...
Ref: PWP 8.0.exe 180918

Mask black and white Amount settings and thumbnail are not displayed in the transform dialog... ...but if transform is OK, Mask image appears in Browser.

1) Open an image in the Browser, Img 1

2) Open the Bilateral Sharpen transform; form a new Mask; and make black/white Amount settings different than 0 and 100%... ...select Setting - Save Settings As... and save.

3) OK the Bilateral Sharpen transform... ..Note that the Command Image Info shows script for the transform settings less mask.

4) Add a Splitter to the Browser 1) image, Img 1.

5) Open the Bilateral Sharpen transform on the new branch.

6) Load the 2) saved settings file... ...Note: there are no black/white sliders or Amount mask thumbnail and a Notepad view of the *.bilateral sharpen script has both transform and mask info.

7) OK the transform... ...Note that there is a Mask browser image formed. Command Image Info only shows script for the transform settings less mask.

8) Select either OK-ed Browser image version [3) or 7)] and Edit Transform... ...black/white sliders and Amount mask thumbnail become available in the transform display.

...den...

P.S. Thank you for this "setttings plus mask" feature for transforms... ...this permits one to generate simple customizable preference transforms like ElieDs Velvia Effect with HueSaturation Vibrance amount controls that uses the Selective Correction transform with a mask... ...neat!!!

Fixed for next release.

Thanks for suggesting the feature - it was a bit of a pain to add but should be very useful going forward.
