Selective Correction Issue

Post by AHuntley »

I went into Transformation>Color>Selective Correction and before I made any changes, I hit the box to the right of amount to create a mask, used the Color Range tool to create the mask, feathered it a bit, then returned to the Selective Correction transformation and made a change to a dull light blue sky. When I clicked OK, the program crashed.

I am not seeing this here. I suggest you wait and try again with the next release which fixes problems with the mask range tool. If it still crashes, I will need more information to reproduce the problem.

I have recently encountered a similar problem with Color Balance, but without any crashes:

1. Color balance - (made a manual change to the Add color now or in step 3) - New mask - apply a Color Range mask -> the mask rectangle next to the Amount scale in the transformation dialog shows the white masked area
2. Feather - apply a positive value -> the mask overlay disappears, the mask rectangle next to the Amount scale turns all black
3. Color balance - made a manual change to the Add color - click OK -> no efect is applied to the output
4. Reopen the transformation -> the manual change to the Add color is gone, however the mask rectangle next to the Amount scale shows the white masked area
5. click Edit the mask -> the mask overlay now shows up
6. reapply the required change to Add and click OK -> the Color Balance effect is now applied to the output

It happens only when the feathering is set to a positive value.
