Hide Transformation window?

Post by MarkT »

A small question/request: is it possible to inherit the "Ctrl + T" functionality from PWP7 in PWP8? To have the ability to hide and then show the transformation window would be helpful, since we cannot move the output/input image windows. For instance, when cropping, the crop selection is often hidden behind the transformation window, and rather than move it around it would be quicker to just temporarily hide it from view.

If a transformation window has an active Amount Mask window (dialog) open, would it be easy to have it Hide as well with the transformation Hide command? or perhaps as an option?

I could foresee that if one was painting a Mask, that the dialog should perhaps be available to adjust the brush but viewing area increased with the Hide of just the transformation window.

What I am working on is adding a minimize box to transformation and mask dialogs so they shrink to just a caption at the bottom of the main window where you can click on them again to restore the original size and location. Like the full versions, the minimized versions will be hidden if you switch to a different image via the image browser, and they will come back when you click on the transformation again. This seems like a better solution than hiding the dialogs which can be confusing since there is no visual cue that they are hidden, and it does not require any new commands.

Been there and done that... ...so agree, minimizing would be a better solution...

Thank you...
