Mat & Frame image orientation

To make a new image to use as a frame is it correct to think of it as a 'piece' of the vertical LHS part of the frame?

The instructions for making your own frame images are in the new Picture Window manual under the topic "Creating Your Own Frame Profiles" in Chapter 19. You can download the manual from the PWP 7 beta page.

Yes, but the image needs to tile seamlessly in the vertical direction (i.e. the top must match the bottom) to avoid discontinuities. If the frame has a repeating pattern there must be an integer number of repetitions and the lighting must be even.
