Two remarks on Mat & Frame

Post by davidh »

There seems to be the default size displayed of the loaded image: 25.400 cm x 20.320 cm at 300 dpi (10 x 8 in) whatever the real input image dimensions and dpi are. This is true even for portrait layout images.
And if the Fixed image Width/Height is set and either the Height or Width is changed, the other (grayed out) dimension does not recalculate, however the image scales accordingly.

And one additional cosmetic remark.
When the Wall is turned off then changing the width or height keeps "ghost digits" of previous rulers, see the attachment. The digits accumulate after each change. It can be easily refreshed by moving the image out of monitor screen and back.
Also save and load does not remember if the Wall is turned off.

I have fixed the ruler problem for the next release.

The Width and Height controls, somewhat confusingly, are not the image width and height but rather the target width and height whose meaning depends on the Base Image Size On control.

I have added separate Image Width and Image Height readouts which display the actual image size.
