perhaps dated: "Zero Noise Photography" and PWP
While exploring the internet for suggestions/ideas to create virtual exposure images for use in SNS-HDR Lite 's [now v1.3.10] blending/tone-mapping, I came across '_GUI_'s (Guillermo Luijk) Feb 2010 posting here: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/thread3674.htm and thought of " cliff &quo...

Re: Exploring Possibilities: 'Day to Night'
Mike G.... thanks for the obersvation/comments I think for my next life, I would like to be a CGI [computer generated image] artist. The less obvious aspects of an image's data file intriques me... and the possibilities of accessing/manipulating that data with PWP's transforms/tools even more so... ...

Re: 'SNS-HDR Lite' and PWP
Noticing that past attachments/illustration images no longer appear in the message board threads [at least with my browser, IE8] and that things are a bit slow... ...I decided to 'bump' this thread with additional comments and a link to the image that was used for illustration purposes. SNS-HDR Lite...

Re: Antivir, virus found in PWP50.exe
FYI... there are no issues as well on my system with 02-26-2011 latest version/definitions of Microsoft Security Essentials when specifically checking "...\Program Files\Digital Light & Color\..." with installed PWP5.0.1.10 folders and files

Re: 'SNS-HDR Lite' and PWP
MikeG... Thanks for your comments. (1) tone mapping seems to be most effective where there are numerous histogram peaks scattered through the 0 to 100% [0 to 255] tone range which are typically present in nature landscape type images with lots of small detail rather than portrait type images where t...

Re: WP Special Effects | Equalize
Add'l comment... If there is a visual element or elements whose Input image's brightness, contrasts, and color you prefer [the tugboat or perhaps the dark land mass the peeks out from the histogram/mask dialog overlays] over the transformed image... ...1:1 Clone with a soft-side brush those elements...

Re: WP Special Effects | Equalize
MikeG.... Here is an Equalize example... The effect is subtle; difficult to show at posting resolutions; and works best as a refinement to an already near preference, full-range, brightness, contrast, color, 48-bit depth [or 16-bit B/W] Input image. For the mask, I tend to use a BrokenLine curve wit...

Re: FastStone auto-adjust and PWP
Charles2... It appears that the FastStone Viewer edits in the RGB color space model and is limited to 24-bit depth color... at least opening a saved PWP 48-bit color tiff working image, FastStone editing, and 'Save As'... seemed to only allow a 24-bit color tiff save. Am I missing something? Even so...
