Really, very nice colors.
I guess a will have a job for my idling scanner for the upcoming months.
One question, is there any particular reason you use velvet and not some other black cloth, paper, or some kind of black fabric?

Some future nice to have
It would be nice to have a kind of a numbered ruler under the color bar in the Tint dialog windows (including Monochrome Tint and Gradients where applicable). It could be similar to the Amount scale but numbered (e.g. by tens) and, of course, without the slider. Sometimes if you try to tune the idea...

Posterize Autopalette color confusion
Posterize Autopalette
1. load an image open Posterize and add a few colors
2. check the box Remap Colors and remap the alternate squares to other colors
3. click on Auto Palette button -> now if you on click the alternate squares their color pickers will display their paired square color instead.

Re: Bug fix release 20-Sep-2018
You are right. The system default for the initial panel is OK. I do not think an additional default button is neccessary. By the way, I have just found out that if you add the initial panel, leave it empty (gray) and save all this As Default Settings or into a settings file to load later, the Option...

Re: Bug fix release 20-Sep-2018
The last two of the new methods are exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot, indeed. However there are two flaws: 1. The orientation arrows put the cropping rectangle back to its initial position in the lower left corner. 2. There is still the problem with transparent panels. However this time ...

Re: Layout revisited
I may just have found a confirmation that the page size can be involved in the problem, A. 1. create a page 12 x 12 or 14 x 14 cm (not so small) 2. add a panel (it always seems to be 1/4 of the page) 3. select Panel size matches image dimensions 4. load the image to crop from and confirm the error m...

Re: Layout revisited
...In this mode, adding an image larger than the layout is an error that forces the image to be cropped to fit... I am not adding an image larger than the layout, I am just adding a small crop from an image larger than the layout. If the page is small, any image will probably be larger. But even th...

Layout revisited
Alpha 15-Sep-2018 I often need to create a layout strip (layout page) about 8 x 2 cm or longer with about 4 or more crops 2 x 2 cm. It has to be a strip so that I could place it anywhere in the print preview. 1. open Layout 2. set the page to 8 x 2 cm 3. add a panel -> it locates itself in the upper...

Some Layout oddities
1. load an image to the panel 2. make the panel smaller 3. select - Scale and crop image to fill panel 4. select - Scale image to fit in panel -> no change 5. use one of the Orientation arrows -> the image scales ------- 1. start with the empty page smaller then the image you are about to load 2. ad...

Re: Incorrect dpi information in the Print dialog
I used the recommended method with a small print and scale set to one to one and got the native resolution 720 for my Epson Photo R2880. I guess half of it would be good enough for what I do.
Thanks for making it simple.
