Re: Associating image file formats during installation

I am confused about the effect of these selections. I am pretty sure they do NOT dictate that, as a system-wide default, whenever a file of that type is clicked on (something embedded in an email, for example), PWP is automatically launched and the file is opened therein. For example, I use FastSton...

Re: print

Jonathan .... What you suggested is exactly what I do when printing at Costco. Here's a little more FYI. I print most of my images at what you called "full bleed" (Costco calls it borderless). However, I learned that because they can't guarantee the registration of the paper with the print...

Re: Transformations question: Apply vs Ok

Thanks, Jonathan.
I don't know when I will pull the trigger on moving to PWP 8. But this is a good reminder to (as they say) RTFM. And your user manuals and guides are among the best. For example, the background info in your DoF program exceeds anything I have seen for similar applications.

Re: Transformations question: Apply vs Ok

I have not used PWP 8 yet but have been following this forum almost daily because I am fascinated by the de-bugging process and appreciate a "peek under the tent" about what I can look forward to when I do adopt. Based on this question and some others I have seen, I suspect that a guide fo...

Re: Saving Images

I have not yet downloaded or used PWP 8.0, but have followed this forum section almost daily for over a year because I am intrigued by the back and forth of the development process and also appreciate having a peek at what to expect when I finally do begin using 8.0. Also, being 76 and retired, I ha...

Opps. It seems that I did know how. It just didn't show up as a clickable link until I clicked "Submit"

Re: Speck Removal - request

For years, I have been successfully using the spec removal tool to moderate the skin shine from flash reflection as suggested here by Den (see post on May 24, 2006) http://www.dl-c.com/Discus-1//5234/5237.html?1222389134 Does this discussion of the change in operation of the tool in version 8 mean i...

An Appreciation

I am not a good beta tester. But as a dedicated user and fan of PWP since 2004 with PWP 3.5, I have been watching this “development” process from the sidelines with great interest – on an almost daily basis. There have been 83 total days between the March 26 release of PWP 8.0 Beta and June 17 (Fath...

Re: Lens Flare

Thanks, Jonathan.
By "a lot" do you mean a radius significantly greater than 30 which is the range where I usually go?

Re: Lens Flare

Jonathan, what did you mean by the term "soft mask"?
