Re: Workflow post processing photos of negatives

You are right. It is possible to do everything I seem to need with that one transformation. I set my own black and white points. I dropped back the red slider. I upped the saturation. I then fine tuned the tonal range by going back to the vertical sliders that show when the black and white points ar...

Re: Workflow post processing photos of negatives

Thanks Jonathan,

I've used that transformation but my first problem seemed to be colour balance and the next the contrast. You make the point about the curve needing to be steeper in the centre.

I'll keep experimenting.

Workflow post processing photos of negatives

I had a separate thread when I was dealing with workflows and the output from my v700 scanner. I have bought a stand so I can photograph my negs, against a lightbox, with my m43 camera. I'm hoping it will prove faster than the v700. At the moment I am struggling with compiling a workflow routine tha...

Re: Using PWP to enhance scans from negs

It was the same set of images.

I deleted the rogue workflow to avoid confusing myself (!).

Thanks for your help. I'll send you another one if it fails. Hopefully it was a one off.

Re: Using PWP to enhance scans from negs

Thanks Kiril, I'm getting the hang of how those checkmarks work. I see the logic of loading all the images you want to process and using the check marks to re-process with a slightly modified workflow. I had a workflow that kept crashing PWP this morning. Not a complicated one. Three steps. Autobala...

Re: Using PWP to enhance scans from negs

Dieter, I select all, then right click in one of the selected image and clicking "Remove Images form Window". Are you talking about the images in the Workflow box under the top line of icons? How do you select all of them? I've tried CTL A. I have looked int that Opt dropdown. I can't find...

Re: Using PWP to enhance scans from negs

Thanks Dieter,

Kiril clearly knows there is a small problem there - so no doubt it will be resolved in a later upgrade.

However, there is a work around as you said - so we can live with what we have got for the while.

Re: Using PWP to enhance scans from negs

It's not clear to me what you mean with "Remove all Images" ? In the Workflow panel at the top left there is an icon called Opt. Click on it and it offers OK/Reject Marks. Click on that and you are offered Remove All Images. I have been using that to 'remove' my selection. I don't want to...
