Re: Illumination, Colour Temp and Monitor Curves
The black density varies with the printer and ink. Coated papers get a much denser black.

Re: Editting posts
I think I found the setting - I set the time limit to edit posts to 2 hours. It was set to zero which apparently disables editing.

Re: Naive Theoretical Colour Mgmt. continued.
It depends on the target profile.
With the possible exception of some V4 Monitor profiles I would assume that the monitor rendering intent is not supported by any monitor profiles.

Re: Illumination, Colour Temp and Monitor Curves
Not that I know of - I would make several test prints and see which ones look best.

Re: Illumination, Colour Temp and Monitor Curves
I don't have a good suggestion here. Given that the eye does a good job of correcting for color temperature differences I would focus on getting the gamma right. After all you can't change the color of the paper white.

Re: Naive Theoretical Colour Mgmt. continued.
That sounds right - the rendering intent is an optional hint to the color engine and not all profiles support all rendering intents. Mostly I have seen rendering intent applied to printer profiles where there are multiple sets of tables - one for each supported rendering intent.

Re: Viewing Messages
I can't find any mention of it either, but I think it may be marking messages that you have not read yet. There is also a white triangle which I believe is for reporting posts to the moderator. This also seems to go away after you have read the message. What browser are you using? I think some of th...

Re: Subscriptions
I found a setting to enable signatures and turned it on so that may help with the signature setting.
When you go to a forum there is a link at the bottom that lets you subscribe to that forum. No way that I know of to subscribe to all of them at once.

Re: Naive Theoretical Colour Mgmt. continued.
I am not sure I agree with any of the analysis so far on this thread. First, I do not believe that Adobe RGB has a brighter red primary than sRGB - monitor profiles (unless you are talking about V4 profiles) just have a few entries - the monitor primaries, white point, black point and gamma. Adobe R...
