Re: PWP 8 Progress Update

Jonathan - thanks for all your work on this. As a PWP user from back in the shareware days...I'm really looking forward to V8. I noticed that the File menu Commands, as listed in the Help file, don't include "File / Save As Widget". I use it all the time because it always puts the file I'm...

Re: Demosaicing Fuji X-Trans Sensor

Charles -

I'm about where you are. I use the Silkypix-derived software to correct white balance and possibly exposure, and then save the results as 16-bit TIF files which I process in PWP.

Re:Demosaicing Fuji X-Trans Sensor

I think you're right. The X-Trans sensor might just be too non-traditional to garner any widespread support among 3rd-party vendors. Too bad - I like the X20 for its size and weight; also, its JPG's are pretty good, once you understand how to set the camera's many options. This leaves me a few alter...

Re: Fuji X20 .RAF Conversion Crashes PWP7 Beta

Thank you Dieter! I thought the X20 was going to be supported in dcraw 9.16, but I can see it's not supported yet. (I knew about that cybercom page but I never scrolled to the bottom.) I suspect software vendors may be having some trouble with demosaicing of the X-Trans sensor. At this point Raw con...

Fuji X20 .RAF Conversion Crashes PWP7 Beta

The subject says it all. When I open a Raw file (.raf) produced by a Fuji X20, PWP7 begins the raw conversion, the "Loading Raw Image" progress bar gets all the way to the right, the program seems to freeze for about 5-10 seconds and then it crashes with the message: Picture Window Pro/32 ...

Re: OK To Uninstall Beta Now?

Thank you, Marv. I completely missed it. I looked on the beta page today and the download link seemed to refer to beta 7.0.7 - which is the one that expired on 15 May. But then tonight after reading your message I checked again and noticed that the Change Log talks about beta 7.0.8. So I did the dow...

OK To Uninstall Beta Now?

Kiril -

Since the PWP 7 beta has expired (as of 15 May) may I uninstall it without doing damage to my installation of PWP v6.0?

Thanx

Bernard's suggestion is right on.

I second his motion.

Re: Keep Your Old Serial Numbers

Bob This is an excellent idea. I've needed my old software numbers more than once so I now keep them all on an Excel spreadsheet. I back it up with all my other stuff and even print it out regularly so I have a hard copy ("just in case"). One thing I never do is purge it - that is, delete ...
