I also saw on www.jonathansachs.me that a newer version of Dof for Windows is available
and http://www.dl-c.com/DoF/DoF.msi points to nowhere (404)

Re: Clever idea for scanning film

Very nice idea, thanks for sharing. I did something similar with medium format negatives my mother has from way back time. My film scanner is not capable of processing medium format, so I took a white sheet of paper, illuminated it with 2 halogen spots, put a glass plate above it and put the negativ...

Re: Who is still out there?

Same here, I look in here regulary, and use PWP as my main editor.
I see it this way: PWP is a well grown product, and so seems to be it's userbase, at least the part active here.
So we all know our PWP quite well, not many now thins to ask about, it just works as we expect, know and love.

The less colors the resulted difference image has, the less the difference. A Levels and Color - Full Range Transformation on the difference image can also help to indica...

Social media group

I had a e-mail conversation with Janet Zinn about Jonathans decision to retire the further development of PWP. She came up with the idea, in case the forum will be closed with the new upcomming website, to found a Facebook-Group, Yahoo-Group or on some other social media to stay in touch, sharing kn...

Re: Size of Circle of Confusion for Hyperfocal Distance

Maciej, Sorry for the late answer, i must have missed your post. The Fuji X has, from what I found, a sensor size of 23,6 x 15,6 mm, giving a diagonal of 28,29 mm (Square root of (23,6^2 + 15,6^2)) To view the total printed image, the viewing distance is about the diagonal of the image, resulting in...
