Re: Mask Related Question

And yet another --
The small branches can be deemphasized by running the mask through the edge transformation in darken mode.
Try all three edge algorithms -- one of them might give the result you're seeking.
[And let us know how you make out.:)]

Re: Mask Related Question

You might also try the high contrast transformation to remove some of the weaker branches -- adjust the cutoff to taste

Re: Mask Related Question

Marv,
I'm not sure of how much you want to remove, but have you tried the speck removal transformation that's included in Advanced Sharpen? Set it for remove light and try a couple of different speck sizes.

Re: New Depth of Field Calculator

I had deleted both the dof.txt file and its backup plus I cleared the temp internet files and the recycle bin, and I had uninstalled and deleted the original program. I just now downloaded and installed the new version -- it shows my camera data and no distance data (just the 3 vertical lines)!! It ...

Re: New Depth of Field Calculator

If you just delete the file, it will build a new one, but you will need to re-enter your camera settings. Interesting -- I kept getting my camera settings back in the rebuilt files, so it must be picking up the info someplace else. I think I have now scoured the system, but have not yet had time to...

Re: New Depth of Field Calculator

Thanks, Jonathan.
When I tried to make changes to the dof.txt file (and its backup) the file(s) consisted of only one line of data -- apparently whatever I had done really messed up. I've now removed everything I can find pertaining to the DoF program and will start again from scratch.

Re: New Depth of Field Calculator

Jonathan, I’ve had the Windows version of DoF for several days and have been exploring its operation with two different cameras. Today, I was looking at some different camera settings when the distance scale shifted to extremely low values. At that point, I was unable to change distance and eventual...

Re: Color shifts between PW Browser and PW Work Space?

Richard Beal created this handy image to tell you if a particular image viewing application is color managed. When viewed in the PWP (v 3.5) browser, the background is blue but changes to green in the PWP working space.
