Re: New Picture Window Pro Update

Alan, My test of the X-100 shows no problems. If you see problems with an X-100 image, please send me the image. The e-mail is support@dl-c.com. You may need to use one of the image transfer services. also, I didn't test the E2, but please feel free to send me an E2 image as well. Thank you, Kiril ...

Re: New Picture Window Pro Update

I can confirm that the colors are not correct on the Fuji X-T1. Other Fuji X-Trans cameras work correctly, so this is not due to the demosaicing of the X-Trans sensor. I will have to investigate further to determine the cause of the problem. Kiril Hello Kiril, Sorry, not true...it seems that Fuji X...

Re: New Picture Window Pro Update

Not sure the Fuji XT-1 is supported. The preview in the RAW dialog is green. In my experience, when the preview looks odd it usually means a color profile is missing and/or that the camera is not supported. What am I missing? On 7.0.13 btw...

What can I say? WOW!!

To Picture Window Pro team, I have been dragging my feet for quite some time making the decision to upgrade from PWP 6 to the latest PWP 7; and I've been a user since, I believe, version 3! I had read about all the new features and really didn't care about the new Frame/Mat Transformation, Wave, Wat...

Re: Raw Conversion

Thanks for the links, den, much good information there. I've been fiddling around with the raw dialog settings and getting pretty close to what I feel is a good baseline image file for further post-processing. Once I get something I like I set all current settings to camera default. Thanks, again, f...

Re: Raw Conversion

@ksinkel - more input... I think I'm getting very close with my Canon 5D II raw conversions. I made the following changes vs what are defaults for raw conversion following initial install of the software: Color tab: saturation: +2.5% Gray tab: Exposure: +.25, Midtones: +20.5%, Dyn Range: Full Range,...

Re: Raw Conversion

@ksinkel - I was just playing around with this a bit more... I think part of the issue is because in the Raw Settings dialog I have "Contrast" set to "Medium Expansion" which, I believe, is the default. Setting it to "Full Expansion" immediately helps to make the image ...

Re: Den's B&W technique??

den,

That "Antialiased Zoom Out" setting much have been the issue! I set it to "No" and now my preview during B&W conversion looks exactly like Apply/OK, regardless of zoom factor. Thank you...THANK YOU!!

Re: Raw Conversion

@ksinkel - it is definitely not my monitor or anything system or color management related. I run a hardware calibrated (using xRite ColorMunki puck and SpectraView software) NEC PA241W monitor. I have converted these same files before in other raw converters such as LR4, Capture One PRO, Raw Develop...

Re: Den's B&W technique??

I've been playing around with den's suggested settings when doing B&W conversion via Channel Mixer. Can anyone tell me why the actual image generated (after clicking Apply) looks quite a bit darker in tonality than the preview? This makes it very difficult to achieve an acceptable conversion bec...
