Another oddity when masking
It seems that no matter what tool is used to create a mask--I was using the paint brush and color range--if you move the transformation box from its default location in the lower-left corner, you cannot continue creating the mask. To be clear, I started creating the mask, then moved the mask dialog ...

Selective Correction Issue
I went into Transformation>Color>Selective Correction and before I made any changes, I hit the box to the right of amount to create a mask, used the Color Range tool to create the mask, feathered it a bit, then returned to the Selective Correction transformation and made a change to a dull light blu...

Re: Sharpening request & possible issue
Thanks, Jonathan, having the main preview area reveal the sharpening at whatever zoom factor I have set is exactly what I want.

Re: Sharpening request & possible issue
Thanks for the reminder that I can enlarge the dialog box, but I can still only view the sharpening at 100%, correct? I many times like to view sharpening effects at 50% because what looks too "crunchy" at 100% often leads to backing off on the sharpening which isn't necessarily what you w...

Sharpening request & possible issue
I don't know if we're allowed to ask for added features at this point in the process, but when shaprening, I like to preview the results at different zoom levels--mostly 1:2 and 1:1; occasionally, 1:4. When activating any of the sharpening transformations, even though I have the image zoomed to, say...

Possible issue with masking?
Certainly has been quite a while since I used PWP, but I don't remember v7 revealing this anomaly when masking... I brought up a saturation transformation, and then went into masking. I used the color range tool to select the sky, then hit the Feather button, moved the slider to 10, and clicked Appl...

Re: General PWP Workflow
Hi Marv, I've been a PS user for 16 years so, yes, I'm very familiar with how actions work and how to build them. Thanks for the detailed explanation of widgets; I kind of had an idea that what you described is what they did and how they are used. Since I don't process batches of image files, I neve...

General PWP Workflow
Hi All, Though I've used PWP (off-n-on) for many years, I've always felt that it's a much more powerful editing tool than how I've typically used it. For example, I've never understood widgets or how/why I'd want to use them. :) Therefore, I'm curious how the typical user makes use of this program, ...
