Thanks for the update Kiril. I'm happy to report that saving with 4:4:4 sub-sampling selected (with or without the comments) does indeed result in a JPEG with 4:4:4 sub-sampling, as reported by various EXIF viewers.

Browsing RAW files could have something to do with it, as the folders I have trouble with have both JPG and NEF files, and it's on the second file that it crashes.

Have experienced this with 5.0.1.3 on two different PCs (Win XP and Win 7): Open Browse, change to a couple of different folders, then when reading a folder for the first time, after one or two images I get a hard crash of PWP. Not a bug, as a re-open of a transformation will "remember" the last used settings.

To re-set to eh default, shift-click on the transformation when opening. If you close PWP and re-open, and select your transformation, it will display your default settings.
