Marv... ...Hope the following is of help!!!... As prefaced, I chose to only use the 'high spatial frequency image data' as an alternative for HighPass sharpening and local contrast enhancement... the Photoshop skin smoothing technique described in the references is done with three layers that have s...

Re: 'SNS-HDR Lite'; 'DCRAW'; and PWP
In another thread, 'mjdl' posted: ...There's always Guillermo Luijk's in depth tutorial for DCRAW at http://www.guillermoluijk.com/tutorial/dcraw/index_en.htm which goes into depth on DCRAW's raw image process techniques and options. PWP50 seems to expose some of the options discussed there, so it's...

Re: AHD vs. VNG RAW interpolation
MaciejT.... (1) Never really did consider the differences. AHD and VNG interpolation conversion images just provided differing starting points for specific image area sharpening [and occasionally specific image area noise reduction] and other post-processing techniques. Did not ascertain generic rel...

In this case, I will do two RAW conversions, one with AHD and the other with VNG... ...and use the conversion that ...

Re: Watermark question
Benard, Kiril, DieterM... (1) I developed two general purpose workflows, landscape4x6r and portrait6x4r, for placing a watermark in the top/bottom left, center, and top/bottom right 6th grid crossing image areas of two, 2304x3456 and 3456x2304, training images. Re: Watermark question
PWP5's workflow 'Text' widget seems to do most of what you describe without the use of a mask, i.e., ...scale and locate semi-transparent texts with or without drop shadows surrounded by semi-transparent contrasting background text boxes for differing image overall pixel dimensions and orientations ...

Re: Mask questions
Does anyone know an easy way to use the freehand tool in a zoomed in view to draw intricate mask edges while keeping the workflow fairly smooth?? Try using Mask Tool - Polygon selection. Drag the initial four corners to surround the element edges to be masked... then use multiple 'shift-left mouse ...
