Re: Help issue PWP 7.0.12 64bit on Win 8.1

Hi Dieter thanks for checking on another Win 8.1 PC - I did in fact just now download Adobe Reader (as I began to realise the supplied "Reader" had no help or info to describe where it came from, or what version it was.) Using Adobe Reader X1 v 11.0.06 made the link in White Papers to the ...

Re: Help issue PWP 7.0.12 64bit on Win 8.1

Hi Dieter Thanks for your help. I have found on Win 8.1 that the PDFs are in: C User\ Mark\ AppData\ Roaming\ Digital Light and Color\ Picture Window\ Docs\ If I double click PW70.pdf I can scroll to page 1 and click the White Papers button. This takes me to Page 11. I can then click say on the Astr...

PWP7 Workflow - Issue using Album widget to batch print

Hi I tried out the widget in workflow to generate a PWP Album of jpegs - one picture per 4x6 album page - so I can later print a batch of pictures easily by printing the Album. However, I found that a mixture of Portrait and Landscape pictures resulted in landscape pictures being cropped and only th...

PWP Pro 32 7.0.8 -- Blur - Precise Gaussian (- Chroma Only)

I have had the opportunity to use this transformation to reduce blotchy colour noise on a netral metallic surface. Very effective. However, after the preview, when I clicked OK to run the transformation on a 48bit depth, 12MP picture, I saw expected running times of 12 to 30 minutes on the progress ...

Re: Purple fringe removal? Fixed in Beta 7.0.7

I have just done one quick test and the latest beta release has fixed the problem I encountered when using the Defringe on 48 bit images. Thanks to Jonathan and team!

Re: Purple fringe removal?

Hi Jonathan - I will email you the TIF now. Problem occurs as follows: 1. I open the image TIF file (3888 x 2592 pixels) in PWP 7.0.6 Beta (size about 60MB) 2. I apply the transformation Color - Defringe having set parameters to: Purple color range Amount 100% Radius 3 Threshold 50% (no mask used) 3...

Re: Purple fringe removal?

I have found the Purple Fringe Removal works very well on Jpegs. I saw problems with TIFFs causing PWP to stop but I understand that is a Beta test issue and will be fixed. I really like the controls including the ability to apply a mask; and this transformation is available also in the PWP workflow...

Purple fringe removal?

Is there any additional feature or help to remove purple fringes from high contrast edge areas please in PWP 7?
(I was just looking for a convenient way to do this - and have seen Den's methods previously.
Looks like Helicon Filter has an approach that would be nice to see in PWP.)
Thanks, Mark.
