Re: OT- Creating an Excel or Notepad Directory List
Hi den, As long as we're OT -- there is a nifty little utility called "quicksfv" at http://www.quicksfv.org/index.html that does all this, and as a bonus creates a md5 hash of every file (so that you can verify its integrity later). The program generates a file with an extension of *.md5, ...

Re: Cropping and resizing
Marpel, You are in luck, the answer is simple. You have the right idea, just be sure that when you upsize the image to the larger pixel dimensions, that you choose the "Nearest Neighbor" algorithm as the selection for the Interpolation Method in the Resize dialog. You will get little block...

Re: Plug-Ins
Jonathan,
I know you are working on the next version of PWP. When would be a good time to offer suggestions about new workflow improvements?
How hard would it be to create a plug-in capability?
Thanks,
Bob

Re: Exif info deleted in workflow
Ilan, What you're now doing sounds like it will work, but I think it's overkill. To ensure that EXIF metadata is included in a "normal" "Save" or "Save as" dialog, all you need to check is "Include Comments". You do not have to check "Include profile"...

Re: Singular file finder
Maciej, When you edit an image, PWP (and everyone else) will change the timestamp that Windows normally uses (i.e., the modification date). If you want to reset the timestamp to the EXIF date, you can use BreezeBrowser (costs $$), or Exifer (free). You could also use Breezebrowser or Irfanview to ba...

Re: Singular file finder
Maciej, It sounds like you are looking for a file synchronization tool of some sort. I use something called "Folderclone", and as one of its functions, it will find files (but with the same name) that exist in one directory but not in another, as a preliminary step to synchronizing files b...

Re: HDR Oloneo
MikeG, Your original example looks pretty extreme indeed. But here's what I get when I use the HDR/Stack images transform: HDR Result-1.JPG and this came from a workspace that looked like this: HDR Workspace-2.JPG What effect are you trying to get (i.e., if you use masks, what result do you like bes...

Re: Sequential Batch-runs
This post is a response to Kiril's question about including a Unix pipe-like widget. Maybe I am transforming his question, but I would love to see a widget that resembles the file-save widget (implementing a pipe as a named file). The widget would have two fields -- (1) the name of the file to write...

Re: Border Text
Gary, Is this what you are trying to do? The way to do this is a little more complicated than just using the Crop Transform. Create a new gray image with the "File -< New" menu selection, setting the pixel count to match an aspect ratio of 8.5 x 11 with the desired DPI. That is, 8.5x11 at ...

Re: Workflow - reverting after 1:1
Mike,
You're right, sorry. Zoom out to fit doesn't work in a workflow setting, even though 1:1 does. I should pay attention better.
