Re: Clone/Paint softness profile
The requested change has been made to the paint, mask paint, clone and miscellaneous tools and will appear in an upcoming maintenance release. Brushes now fall off with a cosine curve instead of linearly, and the results are smoother. Jonathan Thanks, is there a possibility that a "build up&qu...

A high transparency allows you to 'build up' the effect of the tool over multiple strokes. By randomizing the strokes (i.e. not overlapping them exa...

Thanks for your approval Alain and aloomens... I will get started on some new videos and let you all know when they are ready. Since the idea was to perhaps start building a resource library of sorts, I will review the "Picture Window Tips" section of the Board and try to include suggesti...

Hi Kieth, Since you asked, I made a couple of video tutorials a few years ago (PWP ver 4) that may also serve as examples: http://www.picturetheweb.com/ptw/downloads/downloads.htm (see "Mask Basics" and "Composite") I used Camtasia Studio to make the videos, and have been trying...

Re: Which Graphics Card?
Hi, The OP also asked about dual monitors. I use 2 monitors and it is very useful. As far as I have seen, you can't set it up as asked with the picture on a screen and the controls on another. You just stretch the program window across both monitors and slide around the images and controls as neede...

Re: Which Graphics Card?
I don't think that the display of still images makes great demands on the graphics abilities of the pc, unlike that demanded for gaming, for example. So you should consider other uses to which your pc is to be put. But I'd certainly go for a separate graphics card rather than use onboard graphics t...

Is clever and hooks handy, at least on a first test picture.Winfried wrote:I offen use the feather tool with the Failoff Step and a Feather Width of 1 or 2 until the specks are gone.
Then I use a negativ Feather Width to decrease the mask again.
