Re: Sequential Batch-runs

Thank you, Maciej... ...this is what I would like to do. I haven't explored History workflows as most of the post-processing for my style of images rely on MiscTools and 'One to One Cloning' for dodge/burn effects that are not recorded in History. I will try your suggestion to execute a two step sha...

Re: Sequential Batch-runs

Kiril... My style of post-processing does not usually include large batch processing but does included brief workflows, such as 'local contrast enhancement' followed by 'sharpening'... ...So would appreciate the abilitly to select an un-saved image version from the working space, initiate a workflow...

Re: Blur and Masking

Yep... you are right... a 5% scaling change for an image's dimensions or for its masked image area does not seem to have much softening unless you deeply 'pixel peek' and when you take into account 'Output Sharpening' for printing... the 'softening' concern appears moot... at least for a couple of m...

Re: Blur and Masking

MikeG... had a thought and am curious regarding your technique for your illustrated image... What happens to the fine detail of the flower petals IF ... instead of Resizing the main subject [the flower] to be 5% larger, the background is Resized 5% smaller? That way the Resize softening occurs in th...

Re: Blur and Masking

MikeG... a great approach for radius background blurs that are less than the upsize scaling although there is a potential for loss of fine detail unless re-captured because of the Resize... ...perhaps for large radius backgound blurs, a drop-shadow mask of the of the composite-blend halo area could ...

Re: Blur and Masking

Please post an illustration....

Gaussian Blur is a radius gradient blur method and a halo might be minimized by a mask edge gradient... where as Bilaterial Sharpen can be used as a blur as well but retain edges without halo's and no mask is generally needed [skin smoothing for example].

Re: Grey skies to blue

I would find it useful to be able to save/load ColorPair presets as well... If of interest for your download is a reference ColorPair image I use for the 'RGBCMY 50 to 90% saturations, 50 to 60% tones' as well as a 'gray step scale'. This image can reduce mouse clicks when setting Remap ColorPairs. ...

Re: Grey skies to blue

MikeG.... Good show! I like the interesting cloud detail that you were able to retain. FYI -- the RGBCMY 50->90% Saturations, 50->60% tones Color Pairs suggested above without the locking highlight cloud Color Pair and with the suggested 'balanced' Remap settings, are approximately equivalent to a C...

Re: Grey skies to blue

If of interest, here is an advanced Remap solution for MikeG's posted image that you might try using a locking highlight Color Pair for the clouds and the RGBCMY 50->90% Saturations, 50->60% tones Color Pairs: (1) The suggested ColorPairs: aColorPairs_ScrnView.jpg To use the above, download the Colo...

Re: Grey skies to blue

Cliff.... others... You may find that PWP5's Remap transform even a better choise for Hue/Saturation adjustments because of its more advanced blending as illustrated with MikeG's 1:1 images comparing his Remap/ColorCurves results. HSV-H and HSV-S adjustments can easily be made by double clicking on ...
