Thanks Kiril,
I indeed used sequence numbers. Problem solved.
I assume that the next issue, described by Artifex, has the same cause. The ... [1], ...[2] file names are generated because "Generate unique name" is selected while using sequence numbers.

workflow problem
To view images on a tv-set I made the following workflow: resize image (bounding rectangle, to fit the width or height of the tv-screen), change color profile from Adobe-RGB to sRGB, save as jpeg 95% quality. I used an identical workflow in the past on my previous pc; that pc had a 2 core processor ...

Re: Undoing halos and 'chroma fogging?'
I have no physical explanation, but it looks similar to effects that I observe in images of a Lumix camera, when the optical I.S. has to work hard. Mainly long focus distance and pretty long exposure time.

Re: multithreaded workflow
I found out that in recently released PWP 6.0.10 the option to select the number of threads (to be used in a workflow), independent of the number of cores detected, can not be set yet.

Re: multithreaded workflow
In the workflow window's preference box the number of servers is 1, and the box is greyed out. This is consistent with the fact, that the Windows Task Manager doesn't go beyond 50% load if I start a workflow (or bilateral sharpen a large image). If I watch the CPU use in the Performance window of th...

Re: multithreaded workflow
My system has an AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ dual core processor.
In the task manager I can see that PWP doesn't come beyond the 50% load in workflows or bilateral sharpen, while e.g. SNS-HDR uses the full 100%.
I think that I lost it somewhere in the different releases of PWP 6.

Re: multithreaded workflow
That's what I thought. So I uninstalled PWP and re-installed it, but with the same result. Workflows and bilateral sharpen use only a single core.

multithreaded workflow
I remember that the option to use in a workflow all cores of a multicore processor was turned off in one of the beta-versions of PWP 6. In my 6.0.9 version, the "number of servers" is greyed out in the workflow-file-preferences widget. Is it still not possible to use more than 1 core? Or d...
