Re: Color Balance

To my knowledge, the WB setting in the camera doesn't affect the RAW file at all, so it is of no importance to what it is set, other then how the image on the monitor of the camera looks like. I prefer to have it set to "Cloudy", so I have a fixed reference. When using Capture NX-D I chose...

Re: Warp Transform

Marv, I use the "more gridlines" when I want to have a gridline just near an object that I wanted to be straight, let's say a collumn or a corner of a room. I make a rough correction, add up the number of gridlines till i have a line exactly where I want it and fine adjust the grid. On a s...

Re: Reasons to keep 32 and 64 bit versions of PWP ?

Thanks, Kiril! As I never have used PhotoCDs and I have a solution for scanning, there is no need for me to keep both versions up to date. I never thought to not to offer the 32 bit version from your side, I am well aware that there are many that have a need for it, the question was purely for my pe...

Reasons to keep 32 and 64 bit versions of PWP ?

The latest update made me think if it is still useful for me to have both 64 and 32 bit versions of PWP on my computer. I run Windows 10 and I use the 64 bit version as the standard one. Having the 32 bit version additionally installed dates back to Windows 7 times where I used it to scan via the Tw...

Re: Upgrade to Windows 10

Both 32 and 64 bit versions run fine here under Windows 10 for quite a while.
The only issue I have had was with a older scanner, as the TWAIN drivers were not supported by Windows 10 anymore.

Re: Print dialog version PWP 7,018

David, I just realised yesterday that you are "metric" as I am. And it was a good bit of luck that I entered 25 and 50 mm as margins when testing, and got 1 and 2 (inches) then when restart. That made the bell ringing then :) And do not worry, it happend the best to confuse units, didn't N...

Re: Print dialog version PWP 7,018

Jonathan, One thing I noted with the Print-Dialog is that it seems to have problems with the units. I normally don't use the Margins - settings in print dialog, so i don't know if it's new. I have set the units to mm and when i enter 50 for all four margins, click Ok and open the Print dialog again,...

It works fine when using OK in den's step 2, but with Apply the image can't be closed anymore.

Re: DoF calculator ideas

Another big question mark is that the rotation point is supposed to be the nodal point of the lens, but in reality it is often the neck of the photographer. John, I have found that aricle you linked in too, but just the german version, so i did not wanted to post it. Thanks for linking in the englis...

Re: JPEG and PNG questions

Maybe it should be said that the quality loss of JPEG only occurs when a image is opend and then saved again. If you open a image, work on it, save it, make some other modifications, overwrite it or save it as a other version, there will be no quality degradation between the two saves. In Memory, th...
