Re: OT -- Photography, Photojounalism, and Ethics
Our local newspaper (a Pulitzer Prizewinning publication) fired a photographer for altering a number of photographs. The photo that precipitated the investigation which uncovered a string of alterations is the first one shown in the attached -- the removal of disembodied legs. (I've never before tri...

Re: [REQ] Minimize or close all intermediate windows
Yes, Maciej I'm not sure what you meant by a "closed Negative". Perhaps you are talking about something other than a b&w mask. But it appears to me from further testing that if you create a mask during your workflow process and close the window containing the mask, the mask is removed ...

Re: [REQ] Minimize or close all intermediate windows
Thanks, Kiril .... The double click works. Don't recall how I was clicking before (unsuccessfully) to open an intermediate window. This will come in really handy. I always have kept all the windows open and sometimes got confused about which window was related to which transformation activity. I ass...

Re: [REQ] Minimize or close all intermediate windows
I learned something new from this posting. Namely, that if you manually close intermediate windows in a processing series, you can still get back to them through the History function. However, it appears to me that to get back to and review a specific intermediate image (say, step 5 in a 10-step pro...

Re: Can PWP Achieve This "Look"?
Dieter, based on my conversation with the photographer, your analysis of the lighting is amazingly perceptive. The only meaningful difference between your analysis and his description is that the larger light source from the front was aimed down from above and the smaller came from below. You are co...

Re: Can PWP Achieve This "Look"?
I am the original poster in this thread and wanted to let you know that, based on several e-mail exchanges with Den, I am abandoning my quest to learn if there is a way to use PWP to achieve a post-processed “illustration-like” appearance. I started on this mission because I saw this “look” last yea...

Re: Can PWP Achieve This "Look"?
Yes, Den, these are still images or illustrations. Although I tried earlier to find something via Google to link, perhaps I didn't try enough search terms. This time I found a website with some of the images -- but they are not very large. Go to the following website and then follow my instructions ...

Can PWP Achieve This "Look"?
Well, there hasn’t been a forum posting for more than two weeks. So it’s well past time to get some forum activity started and I’ve got a question that may trigger some discussion. Unfortunately, non-US forum members may not be able to participate because I’m trying to learn if it is possible to use...

Re: Fine Mouse Movement Control Software
I assume you were responding to my post, Maciej. I was at first baffled by what you wrote because of my advanced age (71) and limited sophistication with respect to "modern" computers (computers in a museum are a different matter. 48 years ago I wrote a simple machine language program -- z...

Re: Fine Mouse Movement Control Software
The text in the original posting by mjdl contained a warning about its inapplicability for a desktop computer with keyboard and mouse. Since I do all my editing on a desktop computer and color calibrated monitor, do you agree that I should ignore this thread?
