Re: Support of XMP-files ?
I agree that metadata are a mess, but there seems to be at least some kind of a low level standard format, because there are tools available to make all the data visible. The main problem with PWP is that all XMP data gets stripped if a file is edited. It would be nice if the existing metadata could...

Re: Support of XMP-files ?
XMP sidecar file support would be appriciated here too.
Support of XMP EXIF fields for TIFF and JPG files is even higher on my wishlist.

Re: Photo organizing technique or software?
I use ACDSee Pro (http://www.acdsee.com) as image database manager. The program has a lot of features (and some quirks) so it takes some time to get it right. Biggest issue with ACDSee is the fact that it uses custom XMP EXIF fields that are often lost when files are edited in other software like PW...

Re: color management issue?
Hello David, Using color management can be tricky. If you use it you should use it troughout your entire workflow and make sure you got all programs set in the right way. In my understandig Windows CM only controles images shown with windows propriatary software (windows explorer etc.) In programs l...

Re: "Superresolution"?
Another very good stitcher is HUGIN (http://hugin.sourceforge.net/), it handles exposure differences too and it is freeware.
It can do a lot of things with multiple images but it takes some time to learn how to use it correctly (like every program with advanced options).

Re: Exif support
Hi Kiril, I did some analysis with exiftool and found that all fields which I miss after using PWP are XMP tags. The blanked IPTC fields I noticed earlier are all XMP iptcCore Tags. Also the image database information is stored in XMP tags. So my question should be: is it possible to transfer all XM...

Exif support
Hi, Good to see that PWP is still improving. I have one minor issue with the way PWP treats EXIF data. Several values get stripped when PWP does a save as. This is no big deal, but it is a bit annoying because I use a third party image database program which uses EXIF fields to store information. Th...

Re: Updating browse information
I also think the thumbnail browser is a bit annoying when used in folders with many images. Is there an option to show filenames only instead of thumbs? And is it possible to use a mask like *.tif?
