Re: Mask tool - Color Range tool
Den,
And for those not using feathering etc there is no need to move from the image to the dialog box, to and fro perhaps a number of times.

Remembering screen position
I don't know if this is by design or by 'accident' but I notice that some tools remember the 'user chosen' screen position and some do not. For example, if I start PWP 6 and load an image, then click on the 'Crop, Add Border' tool it opens in the bottom centre of the screen. If I drag it to my prefe...

Mask tool - Color Range tool
I wonder if it is possible to re-configure the Color Range tool so that it is not necessary to click the Apply button? At present to set the range of colors to be selected one has to depress the shift button on the keyboard and move the mouse while keeping the left mouse button depressed, then relea...

Re: PWP Seminar(s)
I'd certainly be interested in a web based training course. Living in Sydney, Australia, it has great attraction, especially if it can be viewed at a time of my own choosing. I found that which Mark offered some time back well worthwhile as I learned a few new things, even in areas that I thought I ...

Re: PWP 6 64bit workflow mystery
Gio,
Thanks very much for your help with this.
Perhaps the moral of the story in never to use 'unchanged' but always to select the output file type desired as 'standard practice'.

Re: PWP 6 64bit workflow mystery
You're spot on. Renaming as a tif made it readable where it had not been previously. So, perhaps there's a problem in the workflow. Checking mine, in the Save Image widget I have selected (or left the default) of Unchanged for output file type. The input file type is jpeg so unchanged means that the...

Re: PWP 6 64bit workflow mystery
Charles, thanks for introducing me to Minus! I've uploaded the file. While doing so it became obvious that the file is really big, about 40MB. I checked and PWP 6 comes up with a similar number. The original file size is 7.23MB with a slightly higher pixel count than the edited file. All jpg. The up...
