Re: A visual center
Charles, Den, As far as I understood David's concept (wich took me a while to come to a understanding) i would think its a good idea to put it into "Guide Lines" (of which I thought first too). My understanding of it: You have a sheet of paper (the darker grey lines) and a image (the blue ...

Re: Workflow post processing photos of negatives
Tony,
with Color-Negative I usually set the black point to a unexposed area of the film ( border between images, strip with perforation) and white point to auto.
This gives me usually good results, at least as a base to refine further.

Re: Problem selecting individual files for workflow
Mark, I suppose you try to select the pictures in PWPs Browser ? The problem you describe occurs when you move the mouse while clicking, and if it is just a tiny little bit. It tries to copy the images, which does obvisly not work on themself, and deletes the selection. Concentrating not to move the...

Re: Using PWP to enhance scans from negs
Tony, Workflow files are basically text files, there is not much I can think of that would be repaired by copying it to a new name then the name itself. Did your original filename include some unusual characters (Spaces can be a problem, too) ? Don't know of any sensitiviy regarding to filenames, bu...

Re: Resize and Copy
From: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms649013(v=vs.85).aspx If you place the CF_DIBV5 format with the bitmap color space information in the clipboard, the system will convert the bitmap bits from the bitmap color space to the sRGB color space when CF_DIB or CF_DIBV5 is requ...

Re: Resize and Copy
Kiril,
Would auto - conversion to sRGB be a option, too ?
If one uses a workspace like Chrome2000 or AdobeRGB it would always require a conversion to sRGB in PWP, before.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/downloa ... x?id=26829
Date 22. April 2014 ... but it has 2 Fuji cameras in the list at least.

Re: Photo Filing System
Tom, how many pictures are we talking about ? I run the free version of Zoner Photo Studio 16 to manage about 30 000 photos (constantly growing of course), no problems. I know there are users with well over 100 000 pictures using Zoner Photo Studio. https://www.zoner.com/ If you choose this road, be...

Re: Resize and Copy
Maciej, thanks for sharing your discovery, indeed very useful. Another thing i noticed is that it looses all exif data, and more important, it's setting of the colorspace. Means if you copy a image in Chrome 2000 D65 it comes out very dull, Transformation -> Color -> Profile - Output Profile: Chrome...
