Advanced Sharpten and Show Difference Button
I'm still trying to figure it out, but will ask a question ahead of time, In the Advanced Sharpen, when Show difference button in preview is pressed, does it show the difference between the output/preview and the original or the other way around? For instance, if I play with Halo Limits (Max Oversho...

Cloning/Synchronising PWP Settings to/between two computers
If PWP is installed on two computers, what is the easiest way to a) copy all the settings, saved scripts, etc. from one installation to the other at first, and b) try to synchronize changes between both installations when using them interchangeably? p.s. There is the Create Portable Installation opt...

Re: Sharpening with precise Gaussian blur
In Transformations/Test Patterns, there is the Sharpen Test image. It helps me a lot to figure out what effect various settings may have on sharpening or blurring. The image represents roughly all permutations of edge/background contrast, at 3 edge 'thicknesses' - kind of representing the 'roughness...

Re: Sharpening with precise Gaussian blur
I also think that between the Multipass and Advanced Sharpen - with all their options, edge 'spill barriers', and thresholds - you may have better luck with them in any sharpening, but just for fun you could try sharpening with masked Precise Gaussian Blur using e.g. this workflow: 1) Blur the areas...

Re: Multipoint gradient
I think for the initial control points it is possible to set the control points to any colour you want and save it in Settings. New control points seem to match the colour of the input image by default

Re: Levels & Colors feature request
You can open the Histogram Tool window when adjusting the image with the Levels and Colour dialog box. This will display the histogram of the preview of the output of the Levels and Colour. If you shift press and hold the 'mask square' right of the Amount slider, this will toggle the input and outpu...

Re: Update Available - Version 8.0.409
I have one more comment - with the understanding that this is purely my stream of consciousness and it is way beyond nitpicking. Everything works fine, it's just interesting how at least my mind seems to work. 'M' stands for mask. 'I' stands fot indirect. It just happens that the capital 'I' also re...

Re: Update Available - Version 8.0.409
I just want to comment that the implementation of the Dependencies command turned out great - in the spirit of the Don't Make Me Think. There was one thing that 'made me think a little' initially. If I follow the Indirect say upstream dependency in a complex workflow, the focus moves to that auxilia...

Re: rain drops removal
Another way I can think of is trying to use the Levels and Colour Tool, with a large radius, to selectiely increase saturation, contrast, and dynamic range for those spots while decreasing their mid tone brightness (and possibly shifting colour balance a little warmer for those spots).
