Re: RAW border
I don't see anything like that in my processed Pentax RAW files (PEF nor DNG).

Re: Most important project for version 8
@Maciej: Looking at your posts you seem to struggle with chroma noise reduction. And you appear to be not satisfied with your results in PWP. Of course it is most convenient to use a single application for all editing tasks, and we all agree that PWP has an impressive toolkit, but you could try an a...

I prefer the latest version (preview window adapts to the cropped image) over the previous one.

Re: Wacom Tablet and Pen
I use a Wacom Graphire 3, but I don't experience anything of what you describe.
I had a lot of issues with the tablet/pen in relation to Windows 7 (you might remember the thread in the PW Support forum from November last year), that have been resolved. No new issues with PWP 7.

Re: File name edits cleared by type change in Save Image
I like the current, new behaviour. Countless times I have cleared an added number; that is solved now. The down side as described in the previous posts occurs much less often, in my opinion.

Same remark as Ron.
For the rest: great improvement in speed and I love the Precise Gaussian - Chroma only transformation. Looking forward to explore the other new features!

Re: Gradient tool as a mask function
I'm not sure that I understand what you mean, Mike. You can easily alter start or end point in the gradient transformation, or its angel, or the grey value of the start and end point.
But if you want to use it as a mask: not in interaction with your base image, though.

Thanks for the "fix my pen" solution, guys.
Everything works as it did in W-XP times ;-)

Re: PWP and graphics tablets
Interesting to read the various experiences ;-) I use a Wacom Graphire 3 with PWP and prefer it over using the mouse. I find the odd difficulty that Lorin mentions (with Windows 7) most annoying, however. If anyone knows a way to switch it off, please tell me. There are more issues with the tablet w...

Re: COLOR MANAGEMENT WOES
Darius, you got good advice in all the previous posts. Your complaint about too dark prints points to a too bright monitor. A too bright monitor will bring detail in the shadows even when you process the images too dark. Try setting up your monitor in a dimly lit environment. Change, if necessary, t...
