Re: Help with CUDA
Thanks for the info. 48-bit files form my D810 weigh in about 215MB, so I'd probably see the same error with only 1GB of GPU memory. Now I can plan for the desktop upgrade...

Re: Help with CUDA
Oh, okay, thanks for the info. And thanks for the support of dual monitors, I'm really liking the un-cluttered view of the input and preview images.

Re: Help with CUDA
Of course, thanks for reminding me Jonathan, that solved it. Are there situations where one might want to toggle CUDA support "off"?

Help with CUDA
Hi, can anyone out there explain how CUDA is supposed to work? I just installed a new video card, the GeForce GT 710, with a GK208 GPU which supports CUDA with 192 cores. I then also uninstalled and re-installed Alpha 9-Nov-2018. But the "About" window shows "CUDA not available",...

Okay, that is about the coolest thing I've seen... Thanks for sharing, and if it's okay I'll share with my students, too.
Now, if you could do the same for ISS fly-bys over Toronto, I'd be all set.

Random crashes
I have note been able to document the steps that lead to the crashes, but it seems like if I spend a lot of time with a new mask, after I have opened a transformation window, if I cancel or save the work, PWP silently closes. Not all the time, not with the same transformations, just every once in aw...

Wow, thank you Jonathan. The smudge tool looks much better now (even better than PWP7)

Smudge tool - block-y edges
Not sure how to describe this - a square outline surrounds the smudge tool, leaves square edges. PWP7 does not exhibit this.
Are there parameters I need to adjust to reduce this effect?

Re: Crash - Levels & Color
Sage advice. I never use the same password twice, which takes an inordinate effort to maintain, but I'm afraid that a password manager might get hacked... Do you have any thoughts on how they work and if that could be a possibility?
