Re: "ghost" window left behind with Layout
Thanks for the feedback Keith and David. I see this happen with both XP and Win7 machines, but it is certainly inconsistent. The ghost window is easily painted over with any other open dialogue or image window, so it's not a problem in any way.

Re: "ghost" window left behind with Layout
Thanks for the link to the earlier reference Maciej. This appears to be the same issue, and while there is no real problem, I thought it was worth mentioning. If it can't be fixed, then life goes on.

"ghost" window left behind with Layout
Hi Everybody, Started noticing that after a layout has been applied, a "ghost" window is left behind. In my example it's labeled "Panel 2 Properties", and is in a new and different location from where the actual Panel 2 properties window was on my screen: layout_ghost_window-2.JP...

Re: "Gamma error in picture scaling"?
Well, thanks for all the explanations and illustrations. I completely agree that the chance of noticing any irregularities in actual photos seems small. I guess I'm curious to hear from Jonathan and Kiril as to the ROI of implementing a "fix", or if there really isn't any need to worry abo...

"Gamma error in picture scaling"?
Hi, Just wondering if anyone has read this article "Gamma error in picture scaling" by Eric Brasseur (http://www.4p8.com/eric.brasseur/gamma.html)? I tried his test with PWP 5.0.1.7 and found the result to be "incorrect" as described in the article. I'd be curious to know if anyo...

Re: RAW Dialog: Hilite Recovery problem
Hi Andreas, I can only speak for Nikon NEF/NRW files, but here is the same image with 100% "Highlight Protection" applied in Nikon Capture NX2: NX2_highlight_protection-1.JPG UFRaw 0.16 does not have a separate highlight recovery/protection function (that I can find...), but with simple ex...

Re: RAW Dialog: Hilite Recovery problem
Hi, Here are two results of a sample hilite recovery: Level One: level_8_hilite_recovery_pwp.jpg Level Eight: level_1_hilite_recovery_pwp.jpg I would agree that there is little difference between the two results. If anything, by observing the histograms closely it seems as if the Level One result ha...

Re: Manual Sort in Workflow Window
Hi Maciej, I tried your routine, and found that, while I did not get a 'crash', clicking the OK button resulted in nothing. The OK button is hreyed out, but the 'Sort Images' window does not close. I'm still able to manually sort the images, and re-click the OK button, but again, nothing happens. I ...

Re: Picture Window Pro Update Posted
Hi Kiril, Thanks for the notification, and for the continued improvement and support for PWP. I'm just curious. I thought you would also include an update to the LCMS software, as they have posted version 1.18a for a few months now (or are you waiting for 2.0...)? As well, I'm wondering if there's a...
