Re: All Good Things Come to an End

I've got PWP 3.2 back in 2002 when I got my first digital camera, a Fuji 602. PWP was tested and advertised in a german photo magazine that time, and coming from the wet darkroom it was intuitive to use. I have looked in my e-mail archive and found the trialware registration email from Kiril (Versio...

Re: PDF to TFF/JPEG

At my expierience in a PDF a graphic is stored at the same resolution as the whole PDF, means there is no bigger resolution graphic in a PDF. So, when you set the PDF viewer to 100% Size, and make a screenshot and paste it to PWP you get the most thats in the PDF. If the graphic is bigger then the h...

Re: Size of the Transformation windows

Den, I played around with the scale factor, and setting the factor over about 120% requires to make the browser images bigger to see the information I want (I use medium as a good compromise for me between visibility and using of screen realestate). Settings above 120 makes the texts too big for my ...

Size of the Transformation windows

Jonathan, Kiril, Based on David's thread about slider precision http://www.dl-c.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1224 I was wondering what others think of making the Windows for the Transformations that use sliders wider at default? With respect to todays monitor sizes and resolutions I would think...

Re: Precise Gaussian default slider position

David, You can increase the precision of slider movement in 2 ways: First you can enlarge the window of the transformation which gives a longer slider and more precision. Second you can Shift-Click left or right of the slider in it will move the slider 1/1024 th of the total range, 64/1024 = 0.0625 ...

Re: Updating Browse Info in bulk, across folders

Maciej, I don't see any difference here if a folder contains only images or subfolders with images, works in both cases. I run Win 10-64 bit here, I did run Win 7-64 bit many years before and can't remember to have issues when copy - pasting folders to workflow. Very misterious problem, could it be ...

Re: Updating Browse Info in bulk, across folders

Maciej, I just did a import of 33000 pictures to a workflow window Took about 1 hour, but went without a problem. I do have my files in a folder structure, main folder is Photos, under it subfolders year like 2016, under them folders per shooting day, so I have usually less the 1000 pictures per sin...

Re: Updating Browse Info in bulk, across folders

Maciej,

I use it sucessfully with folders with like 2000 to 4000 images.
Works well with 32 GB of RAM under the hood.
But I guess the amount of memory will be a limiting factor here, unfortunately.

Re: Updating Browse Info in bulk, across folders

Maciej, You can drag and drop folders from the browser to a workflow window, use shift click to select more then one folders. When it displays the thumbnails the pwp.browseinfo file will be created. So you could drag and drop a whole bunch of folders to the workflow window and have the browseinfo fi...

Re: Color Balance

Doug, There may be some purists who think otherwise, but to my understanding a 16 bit TIFF is as good as a RAW file. Modern Sensors deliver 12 or 14 bit color depth, so a RAW file can not hold more color resolution per pixel then a 16 bit TIFF file can. If you take a picture under extreme light cond...
