Joint PWP8 EXIF and DXO converted tif EXIF mystery

DXO Optics Pro 9 converted tifs, run through some PWP8 geometry transformations (e.g.Crop, Level, Resize) and saved with Include EXIF metadata checked on, fail to display in ViewNX2 or CaptureNX. The images display as general icons in ViewNX2 and an attempt to open them fails with the message Unsupp...

Re: Some Batch observations

Now I realize that where I wrote "branch" (observation no. 3), I ment "tree". So the correct wording is current tree, neighbouring tree... etc. Sorry for the inaccuracy. One more remark. If you create just a batch transformation, without any following steps, once you run the batch, it starts process...

Some Batch observations

1."Run all files in the batch in the test mode" The start of the batch is immediatelly followed by the box asking whether to continue or to stop. Is it necessary? Also, when the process gets to the Display transformation step, it breaks at it and again displays a box asking to press OK or Cancel. 2....

Unnecessary Composite reprocessing

1. prepare an overlay image O1 as an output of a top level image A1 (you get A1-O1) 2. composite it with another image A2 3. add one or more transformations after the composite step 4. transform the image A1 somehow (I used resize) creating an overlay image O2 (you get A1-O2-O1) 5. in the composite ...

Re: Bug fix release 22-Nov-2018

Fixed problem with selecting from image menus by clicking on image browser thumbnails. Image menus are now sorted in descending order of image number. This places the most recently created images at the top. Nice and handy features, thanks. There is only a small hitch. If you expand the list but do...

Re: Equalize output curve completely disabled?

The output of Equalize is a curve with 256 control points,..

This sems to explain it to me. I was trying to equalize a B+W image with not many shades of gray.

Equalize output curve completely disabled?

No matter of what view (Curve/Histogram) or curve shape you you use on the left (input), you always get the broken line curve and the view set in Preferences on the right (output). The output Curve is locked permanently to these settings. There is no possibility to change views (between Curve/Histog...

Re: Bug fix release 20-Nov-2018

When selecting images via an image menu, you can now select by clicking an image thumbnail in the image browser, but only while the image menu is open... It does not work for me or I must have got it wrong. When I click on a thumbnail in the image browser, it just closes the image menu and and that...

The Layout list is rather hard to read

When you have a big number of thumbnails it is difficult to get oriented in the layout list of Color/Image control. For example I cloned a branch and wanted to load the last item of it (no. 90) to Layout. It took me quite some time going repeatedly up and down staring in the list before I finally fo...
