Re: Bug fix release 15-Sep-2019

As an addendum, I just tried the tool again, but with a much shorter distance, and added a few points as in my first example. Seemed to work fine. I then tried a few more times with new scratches and made the distance a bit greater each time. It seems the problem is introduced at a certain length, a...

Re: Bug fix release 15-Sep-2019

Just downloaded the latest update, specifically to try out the new curved scratch removal, and maybe I am doing something wrong or don't understand fully. Attempted to remove a curved branch approximately 800-ish pixels long. Shift-clicked at the beginning and dragged to opposite end to lay down the...

Re: Mask Tool

Ver. Aug 31. I just used the Masks Tool on an image (7360 x 4912) in an attempt to generate a number of masks throughout the image. Similar to my first post in this thread, I was using the Spline Tool, in various locations with multiple points placed in each application. This time though, after I se...

Re: Move through a zoomed in image

For your return, didn't want to forget so thought I would throw this in now. At 1:1, the hand works as expected to scroll through the image (click and place the hand, then move the hand in a direction and the point in the image under the hand moves with the hand). However, it seems when zoomed in at...

Burned out highlights

Trying to understand what is happening here. I am processing a few images which are macro shots of water drops on flowers. On two so far, due to not paying real close attention during the photography, a bright spot in the drop (light from a bright window) shows as blown out. Because I usually try to...

Re: Bug fix release 30-Aug-2019

OK, I just tried it again and I think I found what I had been doing (actually not doing) that caused this issue. After I applied the first Curves-based mask, I clicked on the Freehand Outline button, expecting to just carry on with removing some areas and tidying up the mask. However, I did not init...

Re: Bug fix release 30-Aug-2019

Jonathan, I opened an image and then opened the Masks dialogue. I clicked on the first black square and asked for a new mask. Using the Curves option, I generated a mask (Apply). I then tried to remove part of that mask by clicking on the Freehand Outline option > Remove. I was just going to simply ...

Re: Bug fix release 30-Aug-2019

Not sure if this is as a result of your fix regarding the hand/crosshair issue, but if I use the Masks transform on an image where initially a curve is used, then I wish to tidy that mask up with the Freehand Outline, the cursor remains a hand and it will not allow the drawing of a further mask (or ...
