Re: Cloning from one image to another

Jonathan, Thanks for the response. I am trying to keep the programs I use to a minimum, so am trying to do much of the work in PWP and CS6. However, as I am getting more into macro stuff, I may have to look at those programs you suggest. Doug, For the purpose of what you describe, one to one cloning...

Cloning from one image to another

Not providing a tip but asking for input on a better method. I do macro photography, with a 150mm 1:1 macro lens. In an effort to keep extremely narrow depth of focus overall in the image, I typically shoot at the maximum aperture (in this case, although it is a 2.8 lens, at 1:1 the max is 5.6). Cur...

Re: Palette Tool

I see from your other post that you are away for awhile, but I thought I would post this reply while the matter is still fresh in my mind. As it is not urgent (nor important, I guess) your response can certainly wait until your return. And sorry if I did not properly explain how I opened the Color P...

Re: Palette Tool

Jonathan, Thanks for the response. However, perhaps a bit of a different explanation. I like to use the Palette Tool to click on an image in an area which has a general color tone of interest, then move the cursor around that specific area to further narrow the exact color. So, when I move the curso...

Palette Tool

First off, just noticed some further work on the tablet support, so thanks for that (although I have yet to check out the changes). On the noted topic though, If I use the Palette Tool, without the Color Picker, I can click on a spot and then move the cursor around the image. As expected the Palette...

Re: Huion Graphics tablet

I applaud the addition of (some) tablet support. I have used a Wacom and pen for years with other programs, and limited capabilities with prior PWP versions. So the addition of further pen/tablet use is welcome. A couple points/questions, though. - After setting up and using the pen/tablet with the ...

Re: Bug fix release 16-Sep-2019

Jonathan, Thanks very much. Your most recent explanation caused the light bulb to turn on. I had assumed that inserting a control point inside an existing bounding box would merely recognize the two points on either side of it regardless whether they were endpoints or not. But as per your explanatio...

Re: Bug fix release 16-Sep-2019

Jonathan, Sorry didn't respond earlier with a screen-shot. I am getting ready for an unexpected trip so haven't checked the forum for a bit. Anyway, I just did the same exercise again and grabbed 4 screen-shots of various stages of the process. However, I am just attaching the last one to show you w...

Re: Bug fix release 16-Sep-2019

Sorry Jonathan, I guess I am just not understanding this: The object I am using as a test for this is a branch about 700 px long and curved (like a bow without the string). If I shift-click point 1 at one end of the branch, then drag the cursor to the opposite end for point 2, it leaves a straight l...

Re: Bug fix release 16-Sep-2019

Not sure if this latest release was intended to correct the issue related to Scratch Removal as discussed in the 15-Sep-2019 release thread, but I just downloaded and tried to remove the same curved branch as I first discussed, in a single operation. Again, I shift-clicked at the beginning and end o...
