Re: Some preliminary information on PWP 8.0

Wow, okay, I'm intrigued now, thank you for the explanation Jonathan. I can't begin to imagine how you figure out how to make this all happen, but I'm glad you will be sharing the results with us.

Re: Some preliminary information on PWP 8.0

Hi Jonathan, will Composite be available in ver. 8? I'm still trying to wrap my head around a single image window, also for things like cloning from one image to another.

Re: Some preliminary information on PWP 8.0

Sounds interesting. So, if I'm understanding the new Image Browser, the image branches will replace the series of open image windows in PWP7 and earlier? Does that mean only one main image window will be open, and if I click on an image in the branch, it will replace the previously open window? Can ...

Re: Clever idea for scanning film

Very clever, thanks for sharing. Might I suggest a second sheet of glass, to keep the negatives flat... Great idea for a few old 4x5 negs and positives I've got that the Epson V500 just can't handle.

Re: Who is still out there?

Much the same as the others, I drop by the forum once a week or so , to see if anyone has posted. I plan on using PWP 7 for the foreseeable future - no reason not to, unless PWP 8 becomes a reality...

Re: All Good Things Come to an End

Wow, this comes as quite a shock... although I'm perfectly happy to use the current version of PWP for the rest of my (photographic) life, "as is". I am also happy I can continue to suggest to my students that they can continue to use PWP, and now for "free". I remember ordering ...

"Reset All" in Crop/Add Border - question

Hi,

I keep Crop/Add Border set to a custom default set of values, but when I use the Reset All Option, the Resample checkbox remains checked. Is this normal?

Re: Reducing haze or mist using PWP

I've had some success with foggy, hazy images by using the Filter Transformation:

Basically filter the image with itself, and use a mask, if necessary, to preserve some details from the original.
